Blueberry Mayhem

in In the Kitchen

Here at Milton’s we like to keep a stash of bread by our trusty toaster.  Lately, since the launch of our new Blueberry Bread in San Diego and Arizona Costco Stores, our toaster has been working overtime as we’ve all caught a case of Blueberry fever.  The anticipation of getting that daily blueberry fix, the anxiety that there might not be any left, the suspicion that your co-workers may be hoarding slices for themselves…oh yeah, we are totally addicted!

So when I do manage to wrestle some slices away from my colleagues here, this is my favorite Saturday morning breakfast that we hope you enjoy.

Ingredients:

2 slices of Milton’s Blueberry Bread

2 tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter

1 sliced Banana

¼ cup of Blueberries (fresh, or defrosted frozen)

2 Teaspoons Honey

How to prepare

Lightly toast the slices of blueberry bread to your desired level of “toasty-ness”

Spread a generous amount of peanut butter over each slice

Place sliced banana all over the top of the peanut butter and scatter blueberries on top of the bananas

Drizzle with honey and enjoy!

Mix it up by swapping peanut butter for cream cheese, or using strawberries instead of bananas.  The delicious possibilities are endless.

What are your favorite ways to enjoy Blueberry bread?  Let us know!

Your Blueberry Bread is the best ever! I’m very please with the high fiber content and the generous amount of blueberries. The only problem I’m having is, where can I purchase this bread? Our Costco, over the last serveral months, has only carried it twice. Certainly, there must be another place to purchase this wonderful bread, regularly.

Hi Carol,
Thank you for your comments! Our blueberry bread is exclusive to Costcos located in Southern California, Arizona, and the Midwest. We will look into why they were out of stock in your local Costco, since this is an everyday Costco item. It may have been on a demo day where they sometimes display our loaves in a different section in the store. Thank you again for your comments and keep in touch!
Sincerely, The Bakers

Our Toledo, Ohio Costco carried Miltons Blueberry Bread until shortly before Christmas – it was dropped never to return. We are every weekend shoppers at Costco and the Blueberry bread seemed to be a good seller. We eagerly await its return.
Thanks,
Dan

I love your blueberry bread but the last two times that I have gone to Costco in Columbus, OH they have not had it. That is where I always buy it. Did they stop selling it there? I hope not.

Unfortunately, Costco has recently made the decision to no longer carry our Blueberry Bread in the Midwest Region. At this time, it is only available in the San Diego/AZ/NV Costco markets and we do not foresee expansion into other markets.

We encourage you to fill out a Product Request form at your local warehouse on your next visit. Although we cannot predict it’s return, perhaps it may come back because of customer requests. We have many loyal customers asking for it!

We appreciate your taking the time to contact us and hope you will try some of our other products in the near future.

I love the blueberry bread. Where do I get it? I’ve found it at the Costco by me but I don’t have a costco card. Is it in any other stores?

Unfortunately, our blueberry bread is only offered in San Diego and Arizona Costcos as well as very select natural food stores right now. Costco gives out free trial passes if you want to try out their membership.
